Donations

The Omaha Science Fiction Education Society, Inc. (“OSFES”) is a Nebraska non-profit corporation and an approved public charity pursuant to §501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Verification of the organization’s tax-exempt status with the IRS may be confirmed by searching at http://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/ or by telephone 1-877-829-5500 using EIN 02-0768420. Please consult with your tax adviser as to the extent that your particular donation may be tax deductible.

Donations may be made by delivering cash, checks, money orders or other property to a corporate officer, a corporate director or the corporate address of 14680 W. Dodge Rd., Ste 3, Omaha, NE 68134, USA. Checks and other forms of payment should be made to the order of “The Omaha Science Fiction Education Society, Inc.” Donations of property and other in-kind donations are subject to approval prior to acceptance. Donations may also be made using the website www.osfes.org. To receive a donation receipt, the donor’s name as well as street address and/or email address must be provided.

All donations of value equaling or exceeding $250.00 will automatically receive a donation receipt. Receipts for donations of lesser amounts may be sent upon request. To receive a donation receipt, the name of the donor as well as the donor’s street addresses and/or email address is required. Donations using digital currencies will be valued based upon the time of the donation and considered as an in-kind donation of property with that value.

Donations using the digital currency Bitcoin may be submitted via the payment button on this site. Donations may also be sent using the addresses found at the OSFES Digital Wishing Well. Donors requesting a receipt for donations using the digital currencies of Bitcoin, Blackcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin at the Wishing Well should send an email to donations@osfes.org with the sender’s public wallet address and the sender’s email and/or street address where a donation receipt should be sent. Requests by email for “Wishing Well” donation receipts should be made before or at the same time as the donation.
